How can I get out of this expired tag fine?

Well, I live in a small town. the cops in my town have nothing better to do than terrorize citizens for going 3 miles over the speed limit. So, the other day I was needing to get something out of my garage; However, I have a clunker in the garage I have been meaning to sell. To get some of the stuff out I needed to back the car into the street.The tags are expired. The car runs I just don't drive it. I bought it because it was 100 dollars. Anyway, I had to go run so errands, and when I came back I had a ticket for 500 dollars on the windshield. THE CAR ISN'T WORTH 500 DOLLARS! I don't want to pay that. Can I get out of this some how.
