Can some1 write this simple sentence...in your own words?

OK so it says that large areas of water have an influence on the weather. As an air m (ie, wind) pes over a large body of water (ie' the sea or a great lake) it picks up moisture (water), when that air goes over land the moisture might fall back down as rain or snow. So places that are near the sea or other large area of water get more rain and snow ( precitpitation) than places that are far away from large areas of water. Hope this helps.
