Anybody know any good tattoo/birth mark removal treatments?

I have two tattoos I wish to remove and also a small dark brown birthmark, I am considering using TCA 100% to remove them but if there are suitable alternatives that dont involve me spending thousands of pounds I'd love to hear them.
