Im a Tenant. 30 day notice?

I'm from CA and I have a contract with the Landlord. It's a month-to-month lease, $575 a month. I signed the contract on January 15,2010 and gave him the half month's rent which is $287. Then on the month of Febuary I started paying $575 on the 3rd of the month. So ever since I've been paying on the 3rd of the month. Now its July 3,2010 I want to give him my 30 day notice today and my last rent. So in 30 days which is in August 1, 2010 I will vacate the premises either before that date. Am I going to pay anything else after this? or am I doing it right? PLS HELP! any more information will help.. THANK YOU!
