Is labor near??? This is my first baby.?

I'm 37 weeks. The past 4 days I've had menstrual like cramping that come and go every 25-20 minutes. The doctor said she could se on the moniter that I was having mild contractions. She checked me on thursday I wasn't dilated. Then I went to the hospital friday nigt cuz I noticed the baby wasn't mocing as much and I had dilated 1cm. I have horrible headaches nausea and soft bowels. The baby was in breech position on friday. And then yesterday he dropped. Since yesterday the contractions have stayed the same lengths but maybe have gotten a little more uncomfortable. How much longer do you think til he comes out? Should I go in and be checked again or at least call and let them know I think he dropped? My next appointment is on wednesday.
