Do I avoid potholes during the road test?

I know I should try to swerve a little and avoid the potholes but since there is a lot of snow piled up on the right of the road, the only way I can move is to the left. However, since there is a double line I can't cross it. So what do I do? Am I allowed to cross the double line for potholes or should I just slow down? What about the really big and deep potholes? Thanks
