The tinchy winchy bit of the truck(say 1000,000,000 atoms)which impacts the fly will be stationary for a tinchy winchy time whille the fly squishes around that spot.These atoms will soon speed up because they are pushed forward by their springy bonds to the rest of the trillions of trillions of atoms that make up the truck.
