How much contact with family during HSI training?

I'm looking into a career with DHS with my ultimate goal being HSI (what used to be ICE Investigations) I know that there training is very long (22 weeks) and I was wondering what kind of contact you're allowed with family during this time. I mean things like mail, email, phone calls or video chat, whatever, I'm just wondering what they allow. I'd especially appreciate answers from anyone who's done the HSI or ICE Inv. training.
