Excel Spreadsheet to express my logic? Do I need a database or a good formula for this? Please help \: )?

I want to have a list of three digit numbers, place each digit in a cell on spreadsheet, and then try different scenarios and count the outcome. The scenario would be like, no zero's, or no double numbers, etc... I want to count how many times this comes up. I have a deep intelligence, but not a mathematician, and wonder if this is some type of algebra, statistics, or something. Please help, I would love to learn how to database this or create a formula in excel. If I didn't communicate this well, i apologize. Is there a way to just find out if there is a number missing out of a "bank" or database of numbers? Please tell me how, Best Answer 2U ! Thanx
